Indonesia's season! Indonesian trend!
How many season Indonesia have?
In many countries of the world they have four seasons. In our country, Indonesia, we have two seasons. Each season has different weather. Each season of four seasons last, roughly, three months but for each season in our country last six months. Here are the names of the seasons. For saying seasons, we use the word of ‘Musim … ’
Example :
Musim Hujan (Rainy Season)
Musim Kemarau (Dry Season)
I don’t know, I shoulda feelin sad or grateful . Indonesia just have two season! Oh well, the only thing that I feelin’ envious about, just one thing. We don’t really know the feelin of winter … or kind of snow game. But well, after all, Indonesia is such a warm place to stay. The weather is nice, the people is nice, why should I ask for more? I love Indonesia the way it were!
Ah, One thing you shoulda know. Indonesian often use the word of ‘MUSIM’ . The word of ‘Musim’ it’s not only the meaning of some season, but also the meaning of TREND. Ok. I’ll put some example :
A : “Sekarang lagi musim pakaian apa?” (What’s the newest fashion right now?)
B : “Musim jaket bercorak.” (The popular one is pattern jacket.)
Or another case,
A : “Di Bandung sekarang lagi musim buah apa? (What’s the most easy to find fruit in Bandung now?”
B : “Buah mangga! Manis-manis! Murah lagi!” (Mangoes! It tastes very sweet! And cheap!)
Or another case,
A : Musim hujan begini enaknya makan baso. (In this rainy season, If I had Baso it would be great!
B : Bener banget! (You right!)
You got the difference? Bahasa it such a flexibel language ever, isn’t it??
