Indonesia's Facts

There were so many fact about Indonesia, but as Indonesian ... I'll tell you the truth about Indonesia's facts in a unique way :)

Indonesia is the world’s largest country made up solely of islands

Yes, That's true. We are the world's world’s largest country comprised solely of islands. It is composed of 17,508 islands, some 6,000 of which are inhabited. And the fact, even I myself as Indonesian ain't cross all over Indonesian areas yet. For twenty one of my worthy life, I just could explore almost all over Java's city
not all over Indonesia's island :( 

I'm sure mostly Indonesian have a same case too ; cannot explore all over Indonesia's island. 

Indonesians are superstitious people

A million people that I knew is superstitious people. That's right. But mostly of them are an elders. We, I mean as a teenagers or as an Indonesians now days tend to be more reasonable than the elders. But, let's say some of Indonesians (still) are superstitious people. 

Muslims make up 87.2% of Indonesian population, which makes it the world’s largest Muslim majority nation.

Yup. Majority of our religion is a muslims. But Indonesia have a high tolerance in religion case. We respect and live happily with the other-religion  :)

Jakarta the worst traffic jams in the world!

Jakarta known as noun ; traffic in Indonesian's it self. LOL. Unfortunately, Jakarta is is the world’s largest population center without a metro train system that results in some of the worst traffic jams in the world. Well, for your information, most of my families live in Jakarta ( we tease it by spell Jakarta as "Jeekardaah" ) and as long as I knew, even Jakarta's people itself hate being late because of the traffic. Jakarta's people tend to be more on time and patient rather than other city's people in Indonesia.

In Indonesia, kissing is called cium (“to sniff”)

Most Indonesians kiss by sniffing each other’s cheeks, by way of standard greeting. Ok, that’s true, but wait! You can’t kiss by sniffing each other’s cheeks to different genre. We did that, usually for women only. Indonesians man tend to be shake hands, or hug each other while tap the person’s back.

One more time, remember! If you are not a family, don’t do sniffing each other’s cheeks to different genre of sex! 

Indonesians do not openly discuss sex. 

Unlike you guys, from all over the world... we... Indonesians cannot openly discuss sex. Let's say it's taboo in Indonesia. Our parents never discuss about sex, in some case, because mostly of Indonesians are moslem (muslim) we ain't do sex with everyone you want. Even tho~ should I say, teenagers now days is a little bit crazy bout sex, but still we never openly discuss sex. 

And for your information, the general term in Bahasa Indonesia for both male and female sexual organs is kemaluan, meaning “shame” or “embarrassment.” Be careful to choose your word :D
