Top Five Popular Indonesian Self Camera!

Self Camera (Selca) is the way we say for some picture that taken by yourself or ourself. But let’s see… hey! Indonesian has different term! Indonesian word or slang for selca is selfie! Selfie? Yes! It’s short way to say Self Picture …

Nowdays, Selfie or Selca or whatever you want to say… already become something common to do. You can take selfie whenever it’s inside or outside room, wherever you are in good mood or not, whether you want to took your memories into picture or not. :D

But in case you took a million selfie in a day, I’ll tell you something! Watch out! That’s a signal from  a craziness! If you didn’t want to be a psychopathic … please.. please… stop taking picture that much! LOL.

Well, back to our topic! Indonesia has some popular selfie … Here we are. Let’s see what I have for you guys :)

1. MONKEY SELFIE

The first one, comin’ from a monkey! LOL . Have you ever seen this picture before? This one absolutely popular in Indonesia!

I don’t expect some animal to take a selfie. And here we are, the monkey took couple of pictures by themself! If you pay attention to the picture, you can see there, the monkey is smile! It’s cute right? LOL

This monkey comin’ from Sulawesi and the camera that the monkey took comin’ from a photographer. Can you imagine how terrible it was taking your cameras (thing that the monkey stole) back from the monkey? Such a funny story, isn’t it!

2. AADC Actor and Actress Selfie

Have you ever heard AADC?

Hey, don’t search it on your dictionary! It just a popular film in Indonesia. AADC is the short way to say the title “Ada Apa dengan Cinta” (what’s wrong with Cinta – name of the main actress).

What’s make this selfie become popular? Well, Should I tell you the whole story of AADC? That’s movie was killin’!

I , personally, didn’t like movie that much! But, you should never this old movie. The plot of the story kinda simple yet fresh! And what make AADC is memorable for Indonesian 90 Generation, is…  the ending of the story. I bet many fans of AADC kinda like annoyed and irritated with the end of the story.

But, nowdays, after ten years I think, AADC will have the second season in 2016. The main actor and actress is still the same! We got Nicholas Saputra, Dian Sastro, Titi Kamal, Adinia Wirasti, Sissy Priscillia, dan Ladya Cheryl (as you can see in the picture above).

That’s the reason why this selfie become popular. I’m a fans of Nicholas Saputra tho~~ . I’ll make some articles of him if you want~~ LOL

3. JOKOWI – JK

Okay! Let’s have a serious one. This one, as you might see, is Indonesian President for 2014-2019 JOKOWI DODO and the representative JUSUF KALLA. It’s kind of polical selfie actually. Lol.

At that time, Indonesia had full of campaign. There were no.1 , PRABOWO and there were no.2, JOKOWI. The point is, this selfie was kinda catching. Might be you didn’t know, but in Indonesia, Indonesian political or Indonesian big fish never publish a selfie in a public before.  That was the reason why this selfie kinda breaking!

Pay attention to the picture, Jusuf Kalla (We call him, JK - Jeka) showed his V finger, while Jokowi in the back smiled at camera. In my eyes, It’s kinda funny, creative and weird somehow. LOL

4. SBY & PM MOHD NAJIB TUN RAZAK

Next, we got Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (We call him, SBY – in indonesian spell of course, esbeye) and Prime Minister of Malaysia – Najib Razak. As I said before, we – Indonesian rarely seeing selca of the big fish. I think they kept it private. That’s why this selfie was hot!

5. FADLI ZON – DONALD TRUMP

The last but not the last! This one truly breaking! You already knew the reason it became popular, right?

Fadli Zion, the representative of DPR (Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat – it’s very long story, but let’s say it’s about Indonesian government) took some cute selca with Donald Trump!

This selca become popular because Indonesian netizen felt like our representative of government looks like have an holiday in America, while we do thought it was for Indonesian matter. Whatever the fact, that smile of Donald Trump's killin'!
